Actually, IDK - I see quite a few groups taking restore rits because they just don't have enough healers. Of course, whether or not they know what you're doing is a different matter - I got someone who wondered why I was casting Weapon of Warding on him.

Consider how difficult it was for a Ritualist to find a group compared to other professions, prior to the spirit buff.

Most PUG players aren't aware that there are other potential uses for the Ritualist class. The main reason being that if a Ritualist plays support - one of their main roles - they will help the team greatly but their help will be hard to notice. Since the average PUG kiddie is not very smart, and does not browse Guru or read the wikis or indeed, know very much about Guild Wars, they will think the Ritualist just sucks.

The problem is that in the above situation - the ritualist will most likely suck.
You can't really expect to shine as a support player when you are supporting crap.
